This will hopefully eliminate emails & messages with these common inquiries✨
Q: You haven’t responded yet, should I submit again?
A: Please don’t! I often have a lot of messages to go through, please be patient! I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Q: Do you take commissions?
A: Unfortunately my schedule is jam packed & I do not have the time!
Q: Do you do cover ups or work on scarring?
A: Very rarely! A lot of my art is line-work based, so it doesn’t really cover much. I will work on minor scarring, but I would have to see in person to determine if it’s something I’m comfortable with because pictures aren’t always reliable when it comes to things like that. I do not do reworks or add-ons to work not done by me!
Q: I don’t live near you, can I use you art or take your designs to another artist?
A: Please DO NOT do that. It’s extremely disrespectful & upsetting. I work very hard to be creative & make custom pieces specifically for someone. Please respect my wishes & do not steal from me. I firmly believe if you want my work enough you will put in the time & effort to make it happen. I also do guest spots around the U.S, so keep a lookout if I post about where I will be!
Q: Do you do small tattoos?
A: Seldom. At this point in time I’m looking to book medium to large pieces. I will have a $300 minimum unless specified for a flash piece.
Q: Will you replicate another artist’s artwork?
A: No! Original designs or custom work only! I will NOT copy any other art, (even if you have permission or if it’s a classic Van Gogh piece)
Q: Do you charge hourly or by piece?
A: Both! I often charge by design. Sometimes if it’s a larger design I use hourly to help calculate. For deposits a half day is $150. Full day is $300.
Q: Can I bring a friend/partner/family member?
A: You are allowed to bring ONE person with you to appointment if you’d like! If you bring multiple they will have to wait in lobby area or explore Cambridge. If your ONE guest is loud or distracting (either of us) I will kindly ask them to leave & wait in lobby.
Q: When will booking open?
A: If a date is TBD I will keep everyone posted on my Instagram & on my Booking Info page. I open & close booking every 3-4 months. If you don’t manage to get your project chosen don’t be upset! I encourage you to try next booking!
Q: Can I submit idea before or after booking window is closed?
A: Sorry, but no! All messages sent prior or after designated booking will be discarded. I have booking dates set for a reason!
Q: Am I able to submit multiple ideas?
A: Yes! I will allow you have to have 2 ideas. Put it in the same tattoo description area on the submission form. Be sure to include all required info for 2nd idea.
Q: Will you choose my request?
A: Due to high volume of submissions I will prioritize pieces that fit the direction I’m taking my art. If you check out my Booking Info there is a section that will tell you what I’d like to take on & what I’m NOT interested in!
Q: Will you respond to all emails?
A: Yes, even if your request isn’t chosen I will send out a generalized email letting you know I wasn’t able to accept your submission this round of booking.
Q: Will I see design before appointment?
A: I only show the design the day of when you come in. There will be time to make small changes when you come in if need be.
Q: Do you have a waitlist?
A: No, you will have to wait for next booking period to submit! However I will post flash designs if I have a cancellation or any availability.
Q: How do your pre-drawn flash designs work?
A: There will be no changes allowed to these designs. *** However, I am willing to make similar designs or small changes to a piece to make it different if you are set on a certain piece that some one has already claimed. I don’t want to keep repeating the same design. *** I will post the drawings to my instagram with a set price range. I will put them in my story highlights, as well. I will number each piece & flash sheet to make it easier to distinguish. *Adding color to designs may change price. When my booking opens or I have availability I will post them. At that time I will instruct how to submit a request for those!
Q: How do I prepare for my appointment?
A: On appointment day be sure to come in well fed, hydrated, & rested! No drinking alcohol the night before or prior to coming in! No aspirin, Advil because they are blood thinners.
• Bring snacks & water! We will take breaks periodically during tattoo to refuel & stretch! Be prepared to be at the shop for a few hours minimum!
• Please dress appropriately for tattoo! Ex: Comfy shorts/bottoms for thigh pieces, tank top for arm pieces, etc. Bring a hoodie or something to keep other exposed parts warm, it may be chilly in building during colder months due to people entering/exiting building frequently even with heat on. I have a space heater as well if it’s extra nippy.
Q: What can I use as identification?
A: I cannot tattoo you without a valid government or state issued ID, driver’s license, or passport. Either of those will do. We do NOT accept birth certificates or student ID.
Q: Cash or card?
A: I am cash preferred but the shop takes card!
Q: What’s parking like?
A: I don’t drive here, so I’m not entirely sure. I hear from most people it’s a pain. There is a parking garage nearby, but it’s often full. There are 2hr meters that are also often full. You might get lucky though? Public transit is always a safe bet.
Q: What if I can’t make my appointment?
Deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE! If you cancel or are 30 minutes late (even with notice) you will forfeit time slot & deposit. If you need to reschedule call the shop 10 DAYS BEFORE scheduled time. If you reschedule any later you will forfeit deposit and will have to place another.
• DO NOT EMAIL ME ABOUT RESCHEDULING!! Call the shop please!
• You only get ONE reschedule. A second reschedule will forfeit deposit and appointment.
• If you are a no call, no show or repeatedly waste my time you will not be able to book with me in the future.
